About Me

I would like to start by telling you a little about myself. I knew at an early age "what I wanted to be when I grew up". During my own early years of education, I had wonderful teachers that paved the path to my adulthood. Each teacher through my elementary years left a strong impression on me. Once I decided to work in the Early Childhood Education Field, I knew that I made the right decision. In May of 1998, I began working as a teacher's assistant in a large day care center while attending Becker College. By August of 2000 I earned my Certificate Degree in Early Childhood Education, and continued to work in that day care center as a lead teacher for infants, toddlers, and pre-school age children. Through my work experience, education, and workshops, I also earned Director Certification through The Department of Early Education and Care, and I keep current with First Aid and CPR Certifications. In addition to working in group care, I also held a position as an in-home nanny, and more importantly I am a mother myself. In 2005, I decided that I wanted to open my home to share my education, exprience, time and care with not only my own children but with other children as well.

As a family child care provider, I aim to provide a safe and happy environment for each child that will stimulate their physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth at their own pace. I offer loving care that will focus on each child as a unique and wonderful individual.

As your partner in caring for your child, my inter-actions with you the parent is as important as my inter-actions with your child. My two main goals are to always provide a warm, caring and educational environment for children to feel comfortable and safe while mom and dad are away, and to always provide a warm, caring and educational environment for parents to feel comfortable and safe while their most prized possession is in my care.

While in my care your child will be exposed to many different learning experiences including:
*Arts and Crafts
*Large/Small Muscle Play
*Self Initiated Play
*Music and Finger Play
*Story and Listening Adventures
*Numbers & Counting
*Letter Recogition
*Individual Play Time
*Poems and Books
